Friedrich Nietzsche was a bold and iconoclastic philosopher of the late 19th century, whose work presents deep and real challenges to conventional ‘Christian values.’ However, a number of scholars and thinkers have since argued that his message, in its basic principles, is, when rightly understood, in accordance to the Gospel message of self-transcendence and inner freedom, drawing parallels between Nietzsche’s vision of the Ubermensch and Christ Himself as the image of perfected humanity. This one-day seminar will explore these interesting ideas.
One-day events all commence at 9:00am on Saturday, in the monastery guesthouse, and conclude at 5:00pm. Attendees may arrive earlier for a cup of coffee. Participants in one-day events may also arrange overnight accommodation through our guesthouse (guesthouse@newnorcia.com.au).

This weekend will provide a concentrated introduction, which will equip participants with enough knowledge to continue their own studies with confidence.
