In October the Galactic Core of the Milky Way is flat and arched toward the West, as the “season” comes toward and end.
I had this image in my mind and this was my last opportunity to capture it for the year. The problem was that when I set up, the sky was completely clouded over. Patience is always required in astrophotography, so I moved my flash around testing exposures on the church in the hope of the weather clearing. Twenty minutes later, the clouds cleared and the night sky was glorious. I kept shooting and shifting my flash stand for two hours. This was the result that I was really happy with.
