The Baroque period (about 1600-1750) produced many wonderful musicians and composers, including Bach, Handel, Scarlatti and Rameau. During this time, the music was characterized be complex polyphony, energetic rhythms and elaborate ornamentation. Fr. Robert will perform a selection of Baroque masterpieces, including composers from this period from Germany, France, Italy and Spain.
The evening will commence at 6.30pm and will be accompanied by dishes prepared by Abbot John to suit the music!
Accommodation is $130.00 per room for two people or $110.00 per room for one. This also includes a continental breakfast on Sunday morning.
