ONE-DAY RETREAT: SOULS AND CYBERPUNK: PLAYING GOD IN BLADERUNNER AND THE MATRIX x (Apr 10, 2027)

From the beginning, humankind has sought to become like God, on their own terms. The films of Bladerunner, Ghost in the Shell and The Matrix explore this drive to become creator in themes of cybernetics, simulation and AI. This kind of Babel-building causes us to question our reality, our humanity and our own souls. Do these laboratories unlock new fields of being, or forge new prisons?
One-day events all commence at 9:00am on Saturday, in the monastery guesthouse, and conclude at 5:00pm. Attendees may arrive earlier for a cup of coffee. Participants in one-day events may also arrange overnight accommodation through our guesthouse (guesthouse@newnorcia.com.au).
Please take note that if you are doing the bank transfer payment option, payment must be received within 7 days, otherwise, this order shall be cancelled. You can also call the Visitor Centre at 9654 8056 with your credit card ready so payment can be processed on our end. For strict compliance.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
- Ticket cancelled 7 days prior to the event = full refund
- Ticket cancelled within 7 days of the event = 50% refund

The customer shall comply with all Government (Federal and State) requirements for entry into Western Australia or to access the New Norcia premises, event or service. Where the customer does not so comply, and cancels or is unable to access the New Norcia premises, event or service, the customer shall forfeit any and all monies paid.
